²¹ Then, looking at him, Jesus loved him^(A) and said to him, “You lack one thing: Go, sell all you have and give to the poor,^(B) and you will have treasure^(C) in heaven.^(D) Then come,^[a] follow Me.”^{(E) 22} But he was stunned^[b] at this demand, and he went away grieving,^(F) because he had many possessions.^(G)
